  | As far as getting more performance out of the Imola kit goes, the accompanying blurb suggests that it should be possible to reach 30 hp. That is really a bit fanciful, since it is a massive amount of work to reliably attain that figure from a TS1 225, let alone a similar cylinder giving away 40 cc. Since the Imola shares the same exhaust gasket face as the TS1 kit, then performance pipes designed for the AF kit should all fit and probably offer a performance advantage over the Ancillotti box. Tino is currently experimenting with an expansion chamber designed for the kit by one of the foremost Italian tuning houses - Jolly Motor - but they have yet to reach a definitive production version. Personally, I would be surprised if any expansion chamber elevated the power out-put of an untuned kit above 20 hp at the rear wheel without unduly narrowing the power band and increasing the engine revs to unsustainable levels. Equally, that is all speculation at the moment. The price for the standard Imola kit (barrel, piston, reedvalve, gaskets and inlet manifold) is around £280 (Lira 840.000), but you've got to add to that the price of a suitable carb and exhaust system. Standard Lambretta exhausts will not fit the kit; again if that's you want, then you'll have to wait for Mr Taylor's UK kit. Currently, Tino has no distributors in the UK, but the kit is available direct from Italy via his website - www. lambretta.it - which is in both English and Italian.   Sticky   For more details on the Imola kit contact Tino Sacchi - Casella Postale, 1 - 20067 PAULLO (MI) Tel/Fax 0039 0290631759 - Mobile 0039 335-5444929     ![]()   ![]() |
